Pat’s Best Macaroni and Cheese Recipe is an all-time favorite, especially for children. There are many recipes for mac and cheese and it can be purchased in the store in boxes and already prepared packages that you just heat up. This recipe is a homemade Mac and Cheese loved by children and adults alike and is not hard to make.
When we have church dinners this Macaroni and Cheese is a must. It is really easy to prepare. I usually make it on Holidays for my family and if do not make this the complaints would run me out of the house and the same for the church. If I did not fix it for church functions they might end my membership.
I found the original recipe online but I changed it until it became simple and delicious and my own. It can be made in any amount you choose. I make large amounts for church functions, of course and smaller amounts for my family. I will give you the recipe for the smaller amount:

Directions
Pat’s Best Macaroni and Cheese Recipe is really simple and easy to prepare. Cook the Elbow Macaroni according to package directions. Drain. Pour Macaroni in casserole dish add butter or margarine, stir until it melts. Add seasoning salt, creole seasoning and pepper. stir the seasonings through the macaroni. Now this is the important part. After adding the seasoning, taste the macaroni to be sure you taste the seasonings, if not add just a little more and stir and taste again. (A good cook always taste the recipe to sure it taste as you want it to taste.)
Now add the dry mustard. Slice the Velveeta cheese and put it on top of the macaroni and add 2 cans of milk. Cover the dish with foil and place in the oven for 20 minutes. This gives the dish time to get hot so the cheese will melt. After 20 minutes stir to distribute the melted Velveeta cheese throughout the dish. Recover with foil and cook another 15 minutes. Then remove from the oven.
Be sure all of the Velveeta cheese is melted and distributed throughout the dish and most of the milk is mixed with the cheese. You want it to be creamy but not milky. Now, sprinkle the top with the Cheddar Cheese and put it in oven for about 5 minutes to melt the Cheddar cheese remove from the oven. It is ready to serve.
The secret to this Macaroni and Cheese success is seasoning the macaroni before adding the cheese. This is sure to become a family favorite. Enjoy!!!
Fine Wines Delivered at Your Door
I am always thinking about what wines go with a recipe such as this. Cheese has been paired with wine down through the centuries and this pairing has not changed. It has been chemically proven that wine is a pallet cleaner when paired with cheese so that your next bite is a favorable bite of cheese. With our Wine of The Month Club, delivered to your door, you get the finest wines to go with all of your recipes. These fine wines come from Napa and Simona Valley and have proven to be even better in taste than those found in your retail stores.
For this recipe which is dominated by cheese, I would suggest a Pinot or Chardonnay. I white wine to enhance the flavor of the cheese.
